Peak travel season is during the long dry season in the country, and runs from July to September. Because these months are the height of the country’s travel season, it is important to book your flights well in advance to get the lowest rates and maximum availability for world-renowned safari experiences.
Try to avoid travel to Tanzania in April-May, as the country experiences heavy rainfall which can affect the tours and treks you take. If you don’t mind light and occasional rainfall, though, and want to revel in more affordable flight options, travelling from October to December could be for you.

All Australian citizens must apply and be granted a visa before entry to Tanzania. The application process is very simple, all you need to do is apply for an E-Visa via iVisa or Tanzaniaimmigration.org.
