Details Itinerary

Day 1 – Moshi to Tarangire National Park

This morning after breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up in Moshi at 8:00 AM, and you will begin your journey to Tarangire National Park.

The drive starts with approximately 2 hours to Arusha, where you will stop at a supermarket for refreshments, snacks, and a restroom break. You will then continue on the road for a further 2.5-hour drive before arriving at Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and is renowned for its vast elephant population and majestic baobab trees. Wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, the park’s only permanent water source. Expect to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants.

Upon arrival, the chef will be dropped off at the campsite to begin meal preparations while you head out for your safari experience.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive until 6 pm before settling in for an overnight bush camping experience inside the park or in your lodge depending on what option you have chosen.

Day 2 – Tarangire to Moshi

Enjoy an early morning game drive until 10:00 AM, taking advantage of the best wildlife viewing hours. You will then return to the campsite for brunch before beginning your journey back to Moshi.

The best company out there!

African Scenic Safaris were Amazing. We were a large group of students who climbed Kilimanjaro with them and went on a safari in Tarangire National Park.

Great experience on Safari.

The guide was absolutely fantastic. Emanuel was present answering questions and not least telling a lot like the animals.

Amazing experience

We relied on African Scenic Safaris for organising a 5 days safari. Nembris provided us with suggestions for the itinerary through Serengeti.

Your Safari Questions Answered

From Tarangire safaris to Stone Town sunsets, here are the top questions travellers often ask us.

This extension is flexible, exciting, and packed with possibilities. But we know you probably have questions about transport, timing, activities, and how the options differ. Below, we’ve listed the most frequently asked questions to help you plan the perfect post-trek adventure, whether you choose Zanzibar, a safari, or both.

The trip starts with a beautiful 9–11-hour bus ride from Moshi to Dar es Salaam. Along the way, you can see Tanzania's beautiful scenery and people going about their daily lives. When you get there, someone will take you to the ferry port. The ride across the turquoise water to Zanzibar is two hours long. A local guide who speaks English will be with you the whole time, and a private transfer will take you straight to your beach resort.

In this option, you can enjoy both nature and rest. It includes a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park and a night spent sleeping in the bush. The next day, you'll go back to Moshi and take a bus to Zanzibar. Follow a knowledgeable tour guide through Stone Town's long past. Then, take it easy at a beach resort for a few days. Transfers, park fees, events, and lodging are all covered, making the trip easy and fun.

It depends on what you like. The beach break in Zanzibar is perfect if you need to rest and recharge after the climb. A 2–5 day tour is the perfect way for animal lovers to get to know the bush. The combo choice lets you see the wild side of Tanzania before going to the island for sun and sea, if you want to have both an exciting and relaxing time. We will help you choose the best one for your time, effort, and money.

The usual option includes a stay at Palumbo Beach Resort, but we can change the accommodations to suit your tastes if you'd rather stay in a boutique lodge or something cheaper..
